About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for multiple CNC Lathe and Vertical Borer operators to join our growing business at the Teesamp advance Manufacturing Park , Middlesbrough.

Reporting to the Team Leaders , your primary duty will be to set and operate CNC machines and your key responsibilities will include:

Operating machines to required quality standards and in accordance with set procedures, engineering drawings and specifications

Programming machines to prepare jaws, parallels, jigs or fixtures for each batch run.

Depending on skill level, to program machines for small batch runs

Prove out first off production in accordance with the Production Engineer and run batches to SOP’s and routing instructions once in serial production.

To work with a range of materials including Alloy steels, nickel based alloys, super alloys, stainless and duplex alloys

To interpret engineering drawings and work with imperial and metric measures

To use a range of measuring equipment and have a working knowledge of inspection procedures for in process inspection and first off batch control

To work as part of the team and interface with the production support departments including production control, engineering, Inspection, and maintenance

To operate computer systems for the loading of programs and recording of work activities

To support all training activities

To work in a positive and safe manner; driving productivity and leading by example with regard to the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

The person:

You must be time served (or possess other equivalent qualifications) with previous experience of CNC Turning preferably using a Fanuc control system and live tooling.

You must possess strong communication and problem solving skills as well as good knowledge of production processes and systems. You are also required to demonstrate a positive and motivated approach to your work combined with an ability to work to a high standard within time constraints.

Working hours are 40 per week and you will be required to work shift patterns
