Job summary

Workforce Staffing in Redditch is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You will set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, read engineering drawings, and maintain tight tolerances across varied shifts.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Team Leader, you will service and maintain tooling, perform manual compensation, and respond promptly to breakdowns to keep production running. Salary £14.50–£15.50 per hour plus shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC machining experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy.
• Competence with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, including Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazak systems.
• Polish components to a 320-grit finish.
• Perform manual compensation and bench work accurately.
• Service, repair, and maintain tools as part of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Respond promptly and effectively to breakdowns and production issues.
