Job summary

Staff Power Group in the United Kingdom seeks a skilled CNC operator to manage the day-to-day running of allocated machines, ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.

The role requires hands-on experience in CNC turning and milling, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and competence with inspection tools. Forklift operation and routine maintenance duties are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified apprentice
• Experience in CNC turning and milling
• Able to work with diameters up to 2.3 metres
• Able to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• CNC milling
• CNC turning
• Product components with agreed cycle times, confirm specifications listed on drawings, and satisfy all internal quality control measures
• Use inspection equipment (vernier, micrometer, PI tape, CMM and inspection arms)
• Use forklift trucks as required to collect and return material
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on allocated machinery
• Complete minor maintenance to allocated machinery
