Sheffield Forgemasters is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team at a pivotal time of modernization. You’ll work on our 64‑acre site, operating manual and CNC machines to mill, turn and bore large steel castings and forgings to exact tolerances.

Applicants should be apprentice-trained with proven experience in milling, turning and boring, able to read complex drawings and understand CNC programs. Overhead crane tasks are desirable as part of a heavy engineering environment.

Qualifikationen

• Apprentice-trained with hands-on machining background.
• Proven machining experience in milling, turning and boring or a combination.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Understanding of CNC programs and machining processes.
• Experience machining large components within heavy engineering environments.

Aufgaben

• Operating manual and CNC machines.
• Working to complex engineering drawings.
• Machining large steel castings and forgings to tight tolerances.
• Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations.
• Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards.
