Job summary

Workforce Staffing is recruiting a skilled CNC Machinist in Redditch to join a precision engineering team across various shifts. You will produce tooling to tight tolerances, reading drawings and using measuring equipment, reporting to the Team Leader.

The role requires setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes with Fanuc, Siemens and Mazak controls, along with bench work and PPM duties. Shift allowances apply as detailed in the wage package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with precision.
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment (micrometres, height gauges, imperial and metric units).
• Background in hot metal or heavy manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes, including Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazak systems.
• Polish components to a 320-grit finish.
• Perform manual compensation and bench work accurately.
• Service, repair, and maintain tools as part of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Respond promptly and effectively to breakdowns and production issues.
