Cambridge Aerospace in Cambridge is seeking a hands-on CNC Machinist specialising in 5-axis milling to plan, set up, and execute high-precision machining on defence and aerospace programmes.
You will interpret complex drawings and GD&T, work with titanium and high-performance alloys, and drive continuous process improvements while maintaining aerospace quality standards.
We are seeking a CNC Machinist specialising in 5‑axis milling to plan, set up, and execute high‑precision machining activities across defence and aerospace programmes.
This is a hands‑on manufacturing role, focused on the operation and optimisation of modern 5‑axis CNC machining centres to produce complex, tight‑tolerance components for safety‑critical defence and aerospace systems.
The mission of Cambridge Aerospace is to eliminate the risk of existential war in Europe. That risk comes from the air — low‑cost drones and cruise missiles manufactured at scale by our adversaries, ballistic missiles capable of catastrophic destruction, and a new generation of hypersonic weapons that evade existing defences.
We are building low‑cost interceptors to defeat these threats, alongside the surveillance systems needed to detect and target them — at a cost taxpayers can afford, at the pace the threat demands, and with sovereign supply chains that guarantee delivery.
We are backed by the world’s leading venture funds and are one of the fastest‑growing defence technology companies in history. We are hiring exceptional engineers and technicians to build world‑class manufacturing capability in support of this mission.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you are excited about this role but do not meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
