CNC Machinist Required!

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality stainless steel products and offers bespoke fabrication services across multiple engineering and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality components ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and full traceability throughout the production process.

Additional Information:

  • 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (early finish 3:30pm on Fridays)
  • 23 days per year plus UK bank holidays
  • Salary is DOE & paid weekly
  • Post probationary benefits include Health Cash Plan, Discount Scheme, Employee Assistance Program, Company Pension Scheme.

CNC Machinist - Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machinery (FANUC lathes, drills, saws, milling, grinding)
  • Produce high-quality components to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and full traceability
  • Measure, mark, cut, finish, and inspect materials during production
  • Operate manual bar feeds, laser cutting, thread rolling, and other workshop equipment
  • Perform weekly coolant checks and maintain records to ensure safe operation
  • Order tooling and manage inventory for smooth production
  • Handle materials, manage goods-in, and assist with packing and despatch
  • Maintain health, safety, and quality standards at all times
  • Support general workshop operations, training, and knowledge sharing
  • Use IT systems for inventory, orders, and production tracking
  • Source materials and assist with purchasing and procurement, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Follow company policies and carry out additional tasks as directed

CNC Machinist - Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained or relevant qualification
  • Experience with 2-axis CNC machines (X/Z) and FANUC controls
  • Flexible and able to work across different machines and tasks
  • Positive, proactive attitude with strong health, safety, and quality awareness
  • Desirable: forklift/overhead crane operation, pressbrake, and laser cutting experience
  • Environmental compliance awareness
