Overview:We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Millers) on behalf of one of our clients within the precision engineering and manufacturing industry. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machinery to produce components as per customer drawings. This position offers a competitive starting rate with additional shift allowances and a range of benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machinery
  • Utilize manual milling machinery and inspection equipment to ensure precise adherence to sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes
  • Play a critical role in meeting customer needs through meticulous work
  • Operate within a small skilled team and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Time-served Miller with recent CNC experience
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
  • Effective communication skills and customer service experience
  • Right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance

Day-to-day:You will work 5 days per week, Monday - Friday, with a weekly rotation between early and back shifts. The early shift runs from Monday to Thursday from 6am to 2pm, and Friday from 6am to 11am. The back shift runs from Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 10pm, and Friday from 11am to 4pm.

  • Up to £18 per hour PLUS a 33% shift premium for early/back shifts
  • 33 days of holiday per year
