Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment company is seeking a CNC Machinist in Preston, Lancashire. The role involves operating and programming lathes and mills to produce precision metal parts. Candidates must have a CNC machining apprenticeship or extensive CNC turning and milling experience. A security clearance is required before starting this 22-month contract position with a pay rate of £19.80 PAYE plus shift allowance.

Job description

Job title: CNC Machinist
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 22 months
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: 19.80 PAYE (+ 3.35 per hr Shift allowance)
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Hours of work: 37-40 hours per week, Double day shifts (working 7am-3pm week 1 / 3pm-11pm week 2)

Role:
A CNC machinist to operate and program lathes and mills, to produce precision metal parts. You will be required to set up machines, write and test programs, and make adjustments as needed.
Please note all successful candidates will be required to undergo and pass security clearance before they are able to start.
