Job summary

Impact Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a skilled workshop in Kettering. The role focuses on setting, operating and programming 5-axis CNC machinery to produce bespoke components to tight tolerances.

You will read technical drawings, use CAD/CAM software for programming and ensure components meet quality specifications. The position is permanent, with daytime hours and salary £15–£18 per hour, with overtime at 1.5x.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating and programming 5-axis CNC machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and program 5-axis CNC machinery.

Impact Recruitment are working with a client to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to join a skilled workshop team within a growing business, working on bespoke, high-quality products where precision, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Role Purpose

As a CNC Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting, operating and programming 5-axis CNC machinery to manufacture components accurately and efficiently. You'll work from technical drawings and designs, use CAD/CAM software to support programming and production, and ensure finished components meet the required quality and specification.

Working Hours & Salary

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Location: Kettering
Salary: £15.00-£18.00 per hour depending on experience
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience within a relevant manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong experience operating and programming 5-axis CNC machinery.
• Experience within industries such as stone, woodworking, joinery, furniture, shopfitting, exhibition/display, composites, plastics, solid surface or architectural manufacturing would be highly relevant.
• Experience using CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve basic production issues.
• Proactive and reliable approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider workshop team.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
