DESCRIPTION

We are looking for experienced CNC Machinist to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our Operations Support department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom .

Join Us as a CNC Machinist at Cummins!

Location: Huddersfield, United Kingdom

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term

Salary: £35,000 + 30% shift allowance for night shift

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Shift Patterns:

  • Days: Monday to Friday - 7:30am-3pm

  • Nights: Monday to Thursday - 10:15pm-7:30am

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, Millers, and Grinders.

  • Adjust tool offsets and datums for precision machining.

  • Perform meticulous inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Strong initiative with a drive to tackle challenges proactively.

  • Proven communication skills and ability to conduct high-level training.

  • Accountability in meeting commitments and promoting team goals.

  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Ideal candidates will have CNC programming knowledge.

  • Candidates should have experience in a machine shop environment.

  • Apprenticeship-trained CNC machinists are preferred.

  • Experience in CNC grinding, CMM operation, and Robot/Cobot is beneficial.
