A leading Engineering firm is seeking a CNC Machinist in Gloucester to join their machining team. The successful applicant will set and operate CNC machines for precision-engineered components while ensuring the highest quality standards. Required qualifications include experience in CNC operations and relevant engineering education. This is a permanent position with a salary range of £35,000 to £40,000, plus benefits.

Overview

JOB - CNC Machinist

LOCATION - Gloucester

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a leading Engineering company specialising in precision components and assemblies for a variety of industries. They are looking to expand their machining team by taking on a CNC Machinist to work in their workshop in Gloucester.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Mazak controls would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of precision engineering and tight tolerances
  • Apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to develop and progress within the company
Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating CNC machines to produce precision-engineered components
