Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexible Hours After Training)OT & Shifts Available
Contract:
6 months, potential for extension/permanent

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Fareham. The primary focus of this role is manual turning, swagging, and universal grinding while ensuring high-quality precision work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual turning with tight tolerances using a lathe
  • Additional machining tasks and intricate work as required
  • Second operation activities such as deburring
  • Housekeeping, Lean 6S, and maintenance activities

What We're Looking For:

  • Apprentice-trained manual machinist or ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
  • Ability to workindependently on manual lathes and swagging techniques
  • Proficient inreading engineering drawings and inspecting own work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Awareness ofHealth & Safety in a machine shop environment
