Job summary

Kinetic plc in Burnley is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a permanent role. You will set up, load materials, machine components and inspect to drawing tolerances using Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak controls. A time-served background with stainless steel experience is preferred, with 38-hour weeks and overtime available.

Shifts include days, twilight and nights with different rates; the company offers a competitive salary, 32 days holiday, pension and life cover. Travel to Burnley is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with stainless steels and CNC controls (Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak).
• Proficiency in setup, operation and offset adjustments on CNC and conventional mills.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and reading engineering drawings.

CNC Machinist

Are you a time served Machinist looking for your next permanent job in Burnley? Have you got experience CNC Milling or Turning . Are you time served with plenty of experience? Happy working either a day shift, twilight or Nights (different rates for each)? Would a salary of between £32k - £43K be OK for you (£16.21 - £21.76 per hour)? Can you travel to Burnley for work with ease? If you have answered "yes" to all the above questions then this role may be perfect for you. Suitable candidates will be called and given additional information on the position and company. There are several shifts available to suit your lifestyle, please let me know any preferences when we talk about the position. 38 hour working week. Plenty of overtime available.

Duties of this position will include:

• Set up tools and load materials onto CNC machine.
• Carry out machining of components.
• To measure components produced on machines and use inspection equipment to ensure that components are manufactured to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
• Read, interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Contribute in a team working environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Manually handle weights up to 25kg.
• Complete quality documentation.
• Use computer equipment for data purposes.
• Work to lean theory.
• Observe and practice the 5S principles.

Ideal candidates will be time served or have equivalent qualifications:

• Experience of working with stainless steels and machine programming using Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak CNC controls.
• Be proficient at set up, operation and adjustment of tool and fixture offsets on CNC machine tools as well as conventional milling machines would be preferred.
• Experience of working to tight tolerances.
• Prior knowledge and experience of machining stainless steels in a variety of forms including billet, castings and pressings would be advantageous.

Role - CNC Machinist

Salary - £32873 - £44129 (£16.21 per hour and additional £4.80 for night shift & £5.55 for twilight)

Hours - Days (Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 16.15 & 07.30 - 12.30 Fri) = £16.21 Nights (Mon-Thurs 22.00 - 07.30) = £21.01 Twilight (Mon to Thurs 16.00 to 00.00 and Friday 12 noon - 18.00) = £21.76 Overtime is paid at x1.5 Monday to Saturday. It is x2.0 on Sunday. They are currently really busy at the moment, so it is likely that they be open at the weekend for overtime.
