Job description

Job Title: CNC Operator, CNC Machinist

Salary: £16.00 per hour, overtime at 1.5, plus bonus after qualifying period

Location: BS16

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 4.00 pm, Friday 7.30 am - 2.45 pm. Potential shift change in the future to 06.00 - 14.00 or 14.00 - 22.00.

Contract: Temporary with opportunity for permanent employment

Our client is an established production company with a friendly team, seeking a CNC operator and machinist.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Setting and operating CNC machines
  2. Working with 3-axis CNC panel routers cutting plywood, MDF, and composite materials
  3. Reading and interpreting drawings according to specifications
  4. Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
  5. Monitoring machine operation and making adjustments for quality and productivity
  6. Performing basic machine maintenance
  7. Producing daily production sheets
Skills required:
  1. Experience in CNC machining
  2. Experience with 3-axis CNC panel routers
  3. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (preferred but not essential)
  4. Experience operating Fanuc controls
  5. Ability to change tools and troubleshoot problems

Potential for future shift work in the mornings or afternoons.
