Qualifications

  • Solid background in precision engineering (aerospace, medical devices, motorsport).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls is desirable.

  • Operate 3 to 5 axis twin spindle CNC machines.
  • Edit/Programme Fanuc controls and make offsets.
  • Inspect finished parts with precision measuring equipment.

Job description

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking to join a high-performing team in a precision engineering environment? We are currently recruiting for skilled machinists with a strong background in operating 3-5 axis CNC machines to support our client's growing production needs?

  • Basic Salary is up to £32k plus shift allowance = £37500 PA
  • 27 days per annum annual leave rising with service

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist:

  • Operate 3 to 5 axis twin spindle CNC machines to produce high-precision components
  • Work from technical drawings to achieve tight tolerances.
  • Edit/Programme Fanuc controls and make offsets as required.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in a regulated environment.

Requirements of a CNC Machinist

  • Solid background in precision engineering (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, motorsport, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc) – full programming experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Comfortable working to stringent quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shifts for a CNC Machinist:

Rotating days and afters with earlier finish on Fridays
