Job description

Alma Personnel are working with their Birmingham-based client to recruit for a trainee CNC Machinist to be based on site, covering Monday to Thursday, 6am to 6pm, and every other Friday. Based on the number of hours worked, you will be rewarded with a salary of between GBP 35k and GBP 40k.

You will join a busy team to assist in expanding the business during an exciting period in the company's growth.

Requirements include some experience operating and setting CNC machinery, a willingness to learn, and the ability to think creatively and solve problems. You will be tested daily within this diverse and technical environment.

1. Learn to operate and set 3-axis CNC machines.
2. Create, set, and measure state-of-the-art tooling used on CNC machinery.
3. Operate overhead cranes (training provided), capable of lifting up to 50 tonnes.
4. Assist with health and safety compliance and maintenance.
5. Command large CNC machines.
6. Understand and amend CNC programs.
7. Develop skills in operating Fanuc control systems.
