Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with CNC machinery (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Machine Shop Operator to join our growing team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Operate CNC Lathes and Machining Centres plus some conventional machines as requested and ensure cycle times and outputs are achieved to the correct quality standard, Report failings.
  • Complete detailed quality checks against issued dimensional drawings using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers and gauges etc and record measurements on the relevant check sheets.
  • Recognise, identify and report all quality defects and equipment failures.
  • Ensure all completed work is sent to the stores with any empty trays for that particular part, daily for booking in.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required.
  • Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained.

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working with CNC machinery (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of safe brass handling practices preferred.
