Job description

Avenue is recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter/Operator for our leading suppliers to the Aviation industry.

Your role will involve the setting and programming of centre lathes; both the client's CTX and OKUMA lathes have FANUC controls.

You will work closely within the CNC turning department to manufacture components for the Aviation Industry. Your key duties will include:

  1. Safely setting and operating CNC lathes
  2. Working to close tolerances in a variety of Aerospace-grade materials, in line with customer drawings and specifications
  3. Working on a 2-shift pattern Monday - Friday

To be suitable for this pivotal role, you will have the following key skills and experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role and an aptitude for mechanical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative
  • Sliding head experience is advantageous
  • A strong drive to succeed is essential

You will be offered a salary of £34,500 - £38,500 per annum DOE, plus excellent benefits, training, and a monthly production bonus.

You will work Monday - Friday on a 2-shift pattern with the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: Day shift 6am - 2pm and backshift 2pm - 10pm
  • Friday: Day shift 6am - 11am and backshift 11am - 4pm

Overtime may be available during busy periods.
