Job summary

Precision Resourcing Ltd in Poynton, Cheshire, is recruiting an experienced Night Laser Operator to join a busy steel processing and manufacturing business. You will operate tube laser machinery to production targets, load and unload steel with overhead cranes, and carry out quality checks in a fast-paced environment.

The role runs Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm–6:00am, is permanent and full-time with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser machinery.
• Experience in steel processing/manufacturing.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• FLT licence or experience advantageous.
• Able to work accurately and safely.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and team focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate tube laser machinery to production targets and quality standards.
• Load and unload steel using overhead cranes.
• Pick materials to maintain continuous production.
• Operate FLT and other mobile plant where required.
• Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Complete daily machine checks and report any faults.
• Assist with goods inwards and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.

Night Laser Operator

Poynton, Cheshire

£15.02 - £17.49 per hour (DOE)

Sunday to Thursday| 10:00pm - 06:00am

Permanent | Full-Time

We're recruiting an experienced Night Laser Operator to join a busy steel processing and manufacturing business in Poynton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in laser cutting, steel processing or manufacturing who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tube laser machinery to production targets and quality standards.
• Load and unload steel using overhead cranes.
• Pick materials to maintain continuous production.
• Operate FLT and other mobile plant where required.
• Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Complete daily machine checks and report any faults.
• Assist with goods inwards and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.

About You

• Previous experience operating laser machinery or within steel processing/manufacturing.
• Overhead crane experience (preferred).
• FLT licence or experience is advantageous.
• Able to work accurately and safely.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-focused attitude.
