Job description

Job Title: CNC Machine Operative

A leading manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operative or someone with copper punching, tin plating, press operation, and setting experience. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

You will join a growing, established team due to company expansion on a permanent basis. The working hours are:

  1. 6am - 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday 6am - 11am - Salary: £24,700
  2. 2.30pm - 11pm, Monday to Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday 11am - 4pm - Salary: £28,000

Further training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in various areas of component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing to meet delivery requirements.
  • Carry out component manufacturing and product assembly according to build instructions, drawings, BOMs, or related documents.
  • Ensure all activities meet quality and applicable standards.
  • Set up manufacturing equipment, including EHRT, plating lines, and power presses, to ensure efficient production.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, following safe working practices.
  • Store components and products tidily with correct identification.
  • Maintain accurate production and product records.
  • Liaise with Team Leaders to keep stock levels updated.
  • Ensure equipment operates efficiently, maximizing material, resource, and time use.
  • Maintain machinery as per TPM programs and report maintenance issues.
  • Participate in team working and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Suggest improvements for safety and efficiency.
  • Identify manufacturing problems and collaborate on solutions.
Additional Requirements:
