Job description

A leading manufacturer in Thame, Oxfordshire, is looking for experienced CNC Machine Operatives or individuals with copper punching, tin plating, press operation, and setting experience. The role requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring, and related documentation.

You will join a growing, established team due to company expansion on a permanent basis. The shift options are:

  • 6am - 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday (6am - 11am) - £24,700
  • 2.30pm - 11pm, Monday to Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday (11am - 4pm) - £28,000

Further training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working in component manufacturing, product assembly, wiring, and testing to meet delivery requirements.
  2. Carrying out component manufacturing and assembly according to build instructions, drawings, BOMs, and related documents.
  3. Ensuring all activities meet quality and applicable standards.
  4. Setting up manufacturing equipment, including EHRT, plating lines, and power presses, to ensure efficient operation.
  5. Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment and adhering to safety practices.
  6. Properly storing components and products with correct identification.
  7. Maintaining accurate production and product records.
  8. Liaising with Team Leaders and managing stock levels.
  9. Optimizing equipment use and maintaining machinery as per TPM programs.
  10. Reporting maintenance issues to the Production Manager.
  11. Participating in team activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Suggesting improvements for efficiency and safety.
  13. Addressing manufacturing problems proactively with management.

Applicants must live in Thame or be able to commute there.
