Job Description:

Due to continued growth and increasing workload, we require a competent CNC Operator/Programmer to join our team.

The role is critical in maintaining the seamless production of components that meet exacting standards. The applicant will be expected to multitask by setting and operating multiple machines, ensuring tooling and inspection records are meticulously maintained

Primary Machines:HAAS Lathe Y-Axis with Live Tooling (DS30Y & ST40)

Secondary Machines (Provide Support): HAAS Mills (EC400, VF4SS & UMC1000SS)

Standard Hours:8am- 5pm Mon to Thurs // 8am- 1pm Fri.

Hours of Work per Week: 39 Hrs

Salary:Up to £18.50 per hour (Experience Dependent)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting, Programming and Operating HAAS Machines.
  • Working to tight tolerances.
  • Manufacture to customer drawings.
  • OTIF Completion of works orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area. (Applying 5S & COSHH)
  • Carry out PM Checks for all tools and relevant equipment.
  • Update and implementation of job setup sheets.
  • Collaboration directly with both the production manager and quality team, investigating production and machine problems and implementing solutions.
  • Enthusiastic and demonstrate a can-do attitude to work.
  • Min 3 Years Experience in equivalent role.
  • Experienced working in a fast-paced manufacturing machine shop.
  • Proven to be an effective communicator.
  • Commitment to lean manufacturing techniques
  • Able to work efficiently within the team whilst working with autonomy under minimal supervision as work requires.
  • Experience with CAM.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to think methodically,accuracy, with attention to detail and a drive for quality.
