Job Description:

Our client, based in the Netherton area, is recruiting for a CNC Lathe Setter/Operator/Programmer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Studying engineering drawings and job orders for specifications and operational sequences.
• Planning machining activities and programming settings into machines based on work orders and drawings.
• Working with geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining.
• Entering programs into mills and lathes (no offline programming available).
• Safely loading and unloading materials.
• Ensuring tolerances by setting gauges and measuring instruments appropriately.
• Performing preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools.
• Following the machining process from start to finish to ensure quality.
• Troubleshooting machining issues to maintain efficiency.
• Shaping, sharpening, and adjusting tools to meet required tolerances.
• Providing tooling and fixturing improvement solutions during machining.
• Completing reports and paperwork related to machining projects.

Hours of work:

• 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday
• 8:30am – 1:30pm, Friday

Pay Rate:

This is a long-term role with the potential for permanent employment after 12 weeks.
