Job description

• Position: CNC Laser Operator
• Salary: £28,000 – £31,200 per year (£14.35-16.00 per hour) depending on experience plus good company benefits
• Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
• Hours: Monday – Wednesday, 07:00-17:00 and Thursday 07:00-16:30. Overtime available at 1.5 x time during busy periods on Fridays.
• Role based in Burgess Hill. Free parking on site and nearby. My client is based around a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest station.

Excellent opportunity to join a specialist, very established and highly reputable employer as they seek to recruit an additional CNC Laser Operator to join their team on a full time permanent basis This is a superb opportunity to work within an excellent employer who are able to offer a great working environment and long term security and stability. My client are currently operating a four day working week- 37.5 hours per week! Overtime is also available on Fridays during busy periods at 1.5 x time.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Setting and operating Trumpf Fiber Laser with Siemens control.
• Loading / Unloading Laser with raw materials (Automation and Forklift Driving).
• 1st off Inspection of cut components to engineering drawings.
• Quality control of ongoing production – to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Preparing and packing parts for despatching.
• Weekly preventative maintenance of Laser.
• Working as part of a busy team.

Competencies, skills and experience required:

• CNC Setting/Operating preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate, this will include training off site and in-house.
• Engineering background preferred with qualified training.
• Electric Counter-balance forklift licence – this is not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.
