Job summary

Yamazaki Mazak in Worcester is seeking a Production Operative in the Machining Department to set and operate Studer CNC grinders and produce highly toleranced parts for Mazak CNC machines.

The role requires a solid understanding of CNC grinders and controls, with prior experience in a busy manufacturing environment. You will join a team that values health and safety, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.

Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak and are seeking a Production Operative within the Machining Department.

Job Description

• Setting and Operating Studer CNC Grinders.
• Producing a wide and varied range of highly toleranced parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
• Understand CNC controls and be able to safely and reliably operate CNC grinders.
• Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health and safety guidelines and rules.
• Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H and S improvements and kaizen initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• Have a solid understanding of operating CNC controlled grinders.
• Can demonstrate and have experience of safely using CNC controls.
• Have a can:do attitude.
• Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.

Desirable Criteria

• Understand and improve programs safely.
• Would have served a mechanical engineering apprenticeship/HNC etc.
