Job Description

We're looking for specialist CNC Grinders to join our 4th Generation Bevel Gear Cell at Safran Aerospace in Wolverhampton. This role offers the opportunity to work in both a brand-new, state-of-the-art machining facility and a well-established legacy environment with a high level of team expertise and support.

You'll be responsible for the setup, operation, and quality output of cylindrical grinding machines while supporting new equipment and part introductions. This role will suit someone passionate about precision, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional product quality.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

• Set and operate both external and internal cylindrical CNC grinders.
• Perform basic program/offset manipulation and use integrated machine probe systems.
• Validate parts using measurement systems and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to support development and NPI activities.
• Follow process layouts, work instructions, and comply with quality standards.
• Coordinate First Line Maintenance and TPM as required.
• Support personal and team skill development, while maintaining high safety standards.

Job Requirements

Essential skills:
• Minimum 3 years' experience setting and operating CNC grinders in a precision engineering environment.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable skills:
• Apprentice trained background.
• Experience with Studer machines (preferred but not essential).
• Familiarity with measurement systems and integrated probe tools.
• Flexibility to support various duties within the cell based on workload.
• Willingness to work shifts (including Double Days or Night Shift).
