Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is exclusive to manage a CNC Grinder role based in Miskin, Wales, on a two-shift rota (mornings and afternoons). The job offers a competitive package and long-term security with a solid order book.

You will program, set and operate CNC and manual grinding equipment, producing high-precision components and inspecting parts using metrology tools to meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC grinding or precision machining (3–5 years preferred).
• Ability to program, set up and operate CNC and/or manual grinding machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using metrology equipment for self-inspection.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC and manual grinding machinery, including surface and cylindrical grinding.
• Manufacture high-precision components to drawing specifications and tolerances.
• Work with materials such as Inconel, duplex and tungsten carbide.
• Inspect own work with metrology equipment and record first-off inspections.
• Support production with basic maintenance, keep clean and safe work area, train others where needed.

Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a new opportunity for a CNC Grinder to join a growing team, working on a two shift rota, mornings and afternoons.

This long-standing engineering business is a key supplier to a global AAA client base, with customers relying on their services for over 20 years and a strong long term order book continuing to provide security for the future.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Programme, set and operate CNC and manual grinding machinery, including surface and cylindrical grinding equipment.
• Manufacture high-precision components in line with engineering drawings, specifications and required tolerances.
• Work with a range of specialist materials, including Inconel, duplex and tungsten carbide.
• Inspect your own work using a range of metrology equipment, completing first-off inspections and all required documentation.
• Support the wider production team through basic machine maintenance, maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards, and providing guidance and training where required.

The experience you'll need in this role:

• Previous experience working in a similar CNC grinding or precision machining role, ideally with 3-5 years' experience.
• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC and/or manual grinding machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances.
• Experience using metrology equipment to self-inspect work and ensure components meet exacting quality standards.
