Job summary
Recruit Engineering is seeking an Applications Engineer to support pre-sales and post-sales technical activities in high-speed CNC machining and automation technologies. The role is based at a modern UK facility with regular nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays, delivering customer training and engineering project support to maximise machine performance and customer satisfaction.
You will bring a strong engineering background in CNC machine tools, with experience in machining
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background with CNC machine tools
- Experience with machine tool manufacturing, distribution or CNC programming/operation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Responsibilities
- Commission and set up CNC machines for production
- Deliver comprehensive customer training on machine operation and programming
- Develop machining processes for efficient production
- Provide technical support for customer applications
- Select cutting tools and optimise tooling strategies
- Develop fixturing and process improvements
- Identify opportunities for product/process enhancements
