Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our experienced team and support customers throughout the lifecycle of their CNC machines. The role covers installation, training, machining strategy development, and technical demonstrations across the UK and Europe.

You will visit customer sites, deliver operator training, develop processes, and provide on-site and phone support while promoting the latest CNC technology. Travel across the UK and Ireland is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machinery or manufacturing with track record.
• Knowledge of metal cutting, tooling and machining methods.
• Ability to develop manufacturing processes for finished components.
• Strong problem-solving and communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites in the UK and Ireland to install and prove machines.
• Deliver operator and engineer training for customers and dealers.
• Develop machining methods, tooling strategies and CNC programs.
• Support the sales team with technical demonstrations and time studies.
• Demonstrate machining processes clearly to customers and dealers.
• Install machines in customer facilities and showrooms and commission them.
• Provide telephone and on-site technical support.
• Learn new machine technologies and attend manufacturer training.
• Support exhibitions and events across the UK and Europe.
