A leading tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a CMM Technician/Metrology Technician to perform measurements and data analysis across a 3-shift system. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and experience with CMM operations, looking to grow within a high-end OEM environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in using LK Camio or PCDMIS software to operate CMM.
• Ability to review critical data and generate informative reports.
• Familiarity with Gauge R&R Studies and high-level problem-solving techniques.

On behalf of our client, a leading West Midland based, tier 1 automotive supplier, we are currently looking to recruit a CMM Technician/Metrology Technician to support day to day activities in order to achieve highest quality and right first time.

As Metrology Technician, you will be required to work across a 3 shift system, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, and 22:00 06:00hrs and will be responsible for:

• Performing measurements of first off/last off parts using CMM Machines and portable scanning arm.
• Performing measurements using traditional hand held equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, etc and present results to Lead Quality or Quality Manager
• Perform capability studies along with Gauge R&R Studies to ensure repeatability in the production process.
• Analyse data using statistical techniques (SPC) and complete inspection reports on all measured components
• Assistance in the control and maintenance of CMM programs in line with customer requirements.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Demonstrate previous experience in using LK Camio or PCDMIS software to operate CMM.
• Able to review critical data and generate informative reports in line with SPC
• Demonstrate high level problem-solving techniques, particularly versed with 8D
