Qualifications

• Significant experience in CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso / PCDMIS / Mcosmos is highly desirable).
• 10+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, etc).

Responsibilities

• Own CMM program portion for manufacturing readiness.
• Ensure tasks are completed by execution or team collaboration.
• Partner with the quality team on measurement systems.

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer based in Sheffield, who are looking to welcome a CMM programmer in to the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for some who has worked in a fast paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment and is seeking a new challenge.

You will be involved early in specification of programs, planning the entire metrology piece supporting it through launch and continuous improvements on legacy products

As the CMM Programmer you will:

• Own CMM program portion for manufacturing readiness for assigned programs so planned jobs are ready to run effectively on schedule
• Ensure completion of tasks either by execution or work of other team members
• Own CMM programming & continuous improvement activity – partner with quality team ensuring measurement systems are in place and meet or exceeding process requirements
• Perform other related duties as required or directed

To be considered for the CMM Programmer role you will need:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing) preferred or equivalent 10+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Significant experience in CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso / PCDMIS / Mcosmos (highly desirable).
• Grasp of manufacturing engineering fundamentals – engineering drawing and specification interpretation, GD&T, Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA), and process documentation
• Experience with problem solving and driving root cause solutions (8D, DMAIC, etc) and coaching others. Knowledge of measurement systems and process capability
