Overview

CMM Inspector (Weekday Nights) – Leamington Spa – Onsite

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £19.94 per hour PAYE, to be uplifted and paid via Umbrella PAYE payroll model.

Hours: 37 per week

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Role Overview

The CMM Inspector will play a vital part in:

  • Inspect high-precision transmission components to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, route cards, and geometric tolerances.
  • Use manual measuring equipment and inspection techniques to validate component specifications.
  • Program and operate CMM equipment.
  • Identify and resolve non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities within the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across manufacturing to meet project delivery deadlines.
  • Remain flexible in supporting other production areas and working additional hours when required.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Proven experience in precision component inspection (motorsport/aerospace sector experience preferred).
  • Skilled in manual measurement and inspection methods.
  • CMM programming and operation experience (Mitutoyo advantageous).
  • Highly detail-oriented, methodical, and quality focused.
  • Proactive, innovative, and able to contribute effectively to team problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible to meet shifting priorities and deadlines.
