Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support two London properties. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety, presentation and functionality of guest rooms, public areas and plant equipment. Training through our Dalata Academy will help you grow.

We promote from within and value a proactive mindset, teamwork and a flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities management or similar environment.
• Good all-round trade skills including electrical, plumbing and decorating.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive maintenance approach.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays to support operations.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support teams across both hotels.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across both hotels, ensuring safety, presentation and functionality.
• Support day-to-day maintenance of guest bedrooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities and plant equipment.
• Complete maintenance jobs efficiently while minimising disruption to guests and operations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Work with operational departments to resolve maintenance issues quickly.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements.
• Support project work, refurbishments and contractor management as required.
• Provide maintenance cover across both hotels.

Your Job:

What You Will Need:

• Previous maintenance experience within hospitality, facilities management or a similar environment.
