Job summary

England Rugby is seeking a Club Developer to join Clubs & Communities on a permanent basis. The role is homebased, covering Cumbria & Northumberland, with frequent regional travel.

You will facilitate access to support for clubs and volunteers, champion diversity, and help clubs diversify revenue and membership while aligning with RFU's core values. Qualifications

  • Essential: Strong project management skills with ability to handle several projects.

Responsibilities

  • Connect clubs seeking development with experienced clubs to share knowledge.
  • Utilise RFU specialist support and technology to aid clubs.
  • Support clubs in improving management and volunteer structures, focusing on diversity.
  • Assist clubs with revenue diversification and facility improvements.
  • Help clubs increase playing membership, especially 14–18-year-olds (male and female).
  • Coordinate core projects to engage new audiences, including recruitment of women and girls.
  • Develop local clusters of clubs to share knowledge and create solutions.
  • Facilitate relationships with educational establishments and community organisations to grow membership and revenue.
  • Promote RFU assets (AGPs) and usage with other sports/community bodies.
  • Stay updated with best practice and contribute to strategic plans.
  • Act as RFU ambassador and promote core values: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
