Job summary

J.P. Morgan seeks a Technology Risk and Controls Director to shape the firm's tech risk strategy and ensure compliance across cloud foundations. Lead a small team, partner with stakeholders, and coordinate audits and regulatory responses to maintain high risk posture.

You will drive risk management initiatives, advance AI governance, and strengthen controls across access, incident response, vulnerability, and data protection in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide AI adoption with validation and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to define review/approval for AI-assisted recommendations while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to finance.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and translate technology insights to business strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of data security, risk assessment, and control governance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience across large, multi-area environments.
• Ability to collaborate with regulators and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology risk strategies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Set reuse-first expectations for enterprise AI adoption to accelerate evidence synthesis and executive reporting.
• Identify emerging technology risk and track action plans using firm-wide framework tools.
• Establish relationships with regulators and auditors to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Oversee audits for Cloud Foundational Services and related controls.
• Advise process owners on operational risk and provide transparency to stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory obligations and firm-wide controls.
