About the Role

Join our dynamic Operations team as a Cloud Support Technician!

We’re looking for a motivated and technically curious Cloud Support Technician to join our growing team. If you’ve got at least a year of experience in IT support or service operations this could be a great next step.

You'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will have worked with, or supported, AWS-based distributed systems such as Kubernetes. You’ll help monitor and support cloud-based services, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure smooth, reliable operations.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn fast, contribute to real improvements, and grow your technical and service management skills.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values learning, ownership, and continuous improvement. We offer flexible working, opportunities to grow your cloud and service management skills, and the chance to work on meaningful systems that make a real impact.

Plus, enjoy a collaborative, flexible, and innovative work culture where your ideas are valued.

What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure availability, reliability, and security of AWS-hosted services
  • Supporting incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Investigating service issues and working with engineering teams to resolve them
  • Maintaining service documentation, dashboards, and runbooks
  • Assisting with service reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Helping manage service requests and escalations from internal users or clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the rollout of new features or services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud technology

Ideal Experience

  • At least 12 months’ experience in a service analyst, IT support, or operations role
  • Exposure to AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
  • Understanding of how distributed systems like Kubernetes work and how to monitor them
  • Familiarity with service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, or similar)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn

Nice to Have (but not essential)

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Github
  • Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g. Python, Bash, or Terraform)
  • Experience working in a regulated or high-availability environment

What You Get In Return:

Impactful Work: Be part of a growing startup where your contributions make a real difference.

Generous Leave: Enjoy 30 days of holiday (plus bank holidays).

Comprehensive Benefits: Including a generous pension scheme, private medical insurance, and life assurance.

Wellbeing Perks: Access to EAP, holistic wellbeing programs, and a Virtual GP for your health and happiness.

Flexibility: Hybrid working environment with the option to work remotely for up to 4 weeks a year.

Learning: Access to Udemy, a learning platform with thousands of top-rated courses to develop both tech and business skills.
