Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Solutions Architect to work for a large client in the Energy Sector in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This is a permanent position with a negotiable salary.

Required Skills:

• 15+ years of proven experience in Cloud/IT/Networking/Operating systems.
• Preferably experienced in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Desirable experience with Azure and AWS cloud technologies, deployment techniques, and PowerShell.
• A degree in geo-science, engineering, computer science, or business, with relevant experience.
• Systems knowledge in:
• Networking – firewalls, traffic flow, security, switches
• Security – authentication, Active Directory, Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, domain policies
• Web technologies – IIS, Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat, NodeJS, SharePoint
• Databases – Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server; SQL scripting and administration
• Encryption – SSL, encoding/decoding
• Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMWare, virtual appliances, VDI
• Container/Docker – micro-services, hyper-virtualisation
• Server OS – Windows, RHEL 6 and 7
• Graphics rendering technologies
• Thin-client technologies – XenApp, Horizon
• Oil industry applications – installation, configuration, troubleshooting
• Data management – data types, governance across domains like wells, seismic, production, drilling
