Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced security leader to join the CloudOps team. You will own building and managing a team of incident managers and technical leaders, driving engineering teams to act quickly to mitigate risks.

A passion for cloud computing and building a high-performing incident management team is essential. You will lead a team that sets SLAs, measures security response quality, and partners with AWS service teams to remediate risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing and developing teams.
• 5+ years of progressive work within a software security team.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Info Security, or related field.
• Knowledge of web services security, cryptography, networks and OS security.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing security engineering team.
• Drive incident management processes with SLAs and metrics.
• Partner with AWS service teams to prioritize security issues.
• Develop initiatives to improve security response, including automation.
• Foster ownership, learning, and psychological safety.
• Manage cross-organizational relationships for escalation.
• Guide security framework and controls balancing risk and builder experience.
• Establish metrics for team performance and security program effectiveness.
• Guide architectural decisions for security across services.
• Mentor future security leaders and create growth opportunities.
