Job summary

NHS England is recruiting a Cyber Security Analyst (Cloud) to join the Security Operations Centre. You will perform cloud threat monitoring, incident response, and triage across cloud environments, deputising for senior analysts when needed.

The role requires experience in cyber operations, with desirable certifications such as SANS SEC504 or SC-200. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to refining detection use cases and monitoring coverage across NHS systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a Cyber Operations / security analyst role.
• Desirable: SANS SEC504 (GIAC GCIH) or Microsoft SC-200.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for Senior Analysts in cloud security monitoring and response.
• Escalate Tier 1 incidents and guide investigations.
• Mentor Tier 1 analysts to build cloud threat monitoring capability.
• Stay updated on cloud security threats and tech developments.
• Use SIEM and cloud platforms to identify threat patterns.
• Support investigation and triage of cloud security alerts.
• Refine cloud detection use cases to improve coverage.
• Provide technical support to NHS organisations during incidents.
