Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank Runtime Compute Team. You will drive cloud runtime compute products, work with stakeholders, and focus on cost reduction, reliability and performance across secure, scalable solutions.

In this role you will collaborate across Infrastructure Platforms, Product Security, SRE, and application teams, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree or equivalent expertise.
• Hands-on cloud-native experience across projects and teams.
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and stability.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tool adoption with safe outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and engineer cloud runtime compute products with a security-first approach.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Platforms, SRE, and product security teams.
• Drive cost reduction, reliability, and performance improvements across runtimes.
• mentor engineers and set expectations for AI-assisted development quality.
• Create and maintain documentation and design records.
