Job description

We are seeking talented Cloud Operations Engineers to join our Cloud Operations team. This team is responsible for deploying and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports our SaaS offering to our customers and internal stakeholders. Working with a team of experienced engineers, you will bring your experience and technical ability to bear on a wide range of issues, working both reactively and proactively to ensure our SaaS platforms are secure, performant, and stable. This role is varied and challenging, and at a time of significant expansion, this vacancy represents an excellent opportunity to join our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hands-on technical involvement in operational and development tasks
  • Establish strong working relationships with different business units, external cloud providers, and colleagues within the Infrastructure & Support function
  • Utilize key tools such as HaloITSM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git on a daily basis
  • Allocate time between operational support for existing customers and development work to enhance automation and tooling for deploying and maintaining customer platforms

The successful candidate must be able to travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

  • Minimum experience of 2 years using Azure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Skilled in managing conflicting priorities
  • Private cloud

Ticket Management

  • ITIL
  • Familiarity with service desk tooling

System Administration

  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server 201x

Automation Tooling

The successful candidate must be able to travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD.
