Job summary

Oracle seeks an experienced Network Developer to troubleshoot Linux systems, manage virtual cloud networks, and support live cloud services. You will diagnose production incidents, write Python/Bash scripts, and ensure reliability across the Oracle Cloud networking environments.

Responsibilities include on-call production support, end-to-end service ownership, and collaboration with global teams to improve architecture, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Understanding of virtual network architecture, security, and automation.
• Understanding of TCP/IP stack and routing concepts in Linux systems and networking environments, VPNs and BGP.
• Experience with containerisation technologies and orchestration platforms.
• Understanding of Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) in public cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and release automation tools.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Chef.
• Support network segmentation (e.g., security lists, NSGs, or firewalls).
• Understanding of telemetry data (traffic flows, health status) using Grafana dashboards and MQL.
• Experience with major public cloud providers (OCI or equivalent).
• Familiarity using Jira and Confluence for incident tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production services with on-call support, focusing on security, resiliency, and performance.
• Collaborate with global teams to improve service architecture and capabilities in the Oracle Cloud portfolio.
• Define scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes of the service stack.
• Escalate complex issues and document SOPs, understanding service topologies.
• Maintain technical docs in Jira and Confluence.
