Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support the network and compute infrastructure for one of our clients end clients. This role involves designing and deploying Azure network resources, monitoring alerts, troubleshooting issues, and handling critical incidents.

Contract Details:

• Location: Slough/London – 1/2 days per week
• Duration:6 months(scope for extension)
• Determination: Inside IR35
• Day rate: £400 - £450 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy Azure network resources based on business requirements.
• Monitor alerts, triage, troubleshoot, escalate, or resolve issues to mitigate alerts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported on the existing network environment.
• Handle change requests and new deployment projects for cloud infrastructure requirements, including migrations from on-premises to cloud and expanding existing hybrid environments.
• Develop automation scripts to automate common Azure tasks and repetitive cloud governance activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of Azure network services and resources with hands-on experience.
• Experience working with Azure WAN, Azure Firewall, VNETs, ExpressRoute, and Web Application Firewall.
• Some knowledge and understanding of VPN, IPsec, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/S, MPLS, BGP, Layer3, and Layer2.
• Good understanding and experience with DevOps technologies like GitLab and Azure DevOps.
