Job summary

Flatiron Health is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to scale our cloud networking infrastructure with a focus on automation, reliability, and developer enablement. You will join a cross-functional Platform team supporting high uptime and scalable services for global customers.

You will design cloud-native networking solutions, implement IaC with Ansible and Terraform, and contribute to observability with tools like Observium and Datadog.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in resilient and distributed cloud network infrastructure.
• Expertise in VPN architecture and firewall configuration.
• Experience with network segmentation and routing in cloud-native environments.
• Experience building automated reliability and observability tooling.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code and automation (Ansible, Terraform).
• Desire to enable self-service network provisioning for developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native network infrastructure with scalability and performance.
• Innovate with automation-forward, cloud-first tooling to scale networking.
• Coordinate across teams to codify and test infrastructure changes.
• Maintain and modernize local network infrastructure in multiple offices.
• Participate in code and configuration reviews.
• Prepare designs, playbooks, and documentation for the engineering org.
• Monitor performance and availability; provide remediation for issues.
• Participate in on-call duties and incident response.
• Collaborate to resolve escalations impacting high-SLA production systems.
