The Role

Cloud Network Engineers at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in infrastructure. They excel at analysis, documentation, diagramming work for hand-off, providing timely solutions, and troubleshooting. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of system interactions and environment considerations, providing value to clients.

The role has two main aspects: contributing to current projects by analyzing problems, offering solutions, and testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems; and engaging in long-term strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operations. The role is platform-agnostic, requiring familiarity with various systems, offering variety and growth opportunities.

You will be involved early in projects to propose solutions, assess feasibility, and identify technical and timeline risks, managing client expectations and internal challenges. Successful Infrastructure Specialists often see clients return specifically requesting their expertise, highlighting the impact of their work.

This project-based position involves deep engagement throughout project lifecycles and collaboration with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers. Regardless of your current skill level or career aspirations, Kyndryl offers opportunities and support for growth. Boredom is unlikely here.

Your Future at Kyndryl

Opportunities for certifications and qualifications abound, especially as you advance as a Cloud Hyperscaler. Many Infrastructure Specialists aim to become Architects or Distinguished Engineers, with pathways available at all skill levels.

  • Enterprise IT application experience
  • Hands-on experience in at least one of: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture within AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
  • Experience in engineering solutions and cross-team collaboration
  • Strong planning, judgment, and goal achievement skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Process improvement experience

5-7 years in a similar role.
