Cloud Network Architect - Azure / Cloudflare

Up to £85,000 + benefits | Hybrid - Leeds (2 days/week)

We're supporting a well-established digital consultancy based in Leeds in hiring a Cloud Network Architect to help drive the evolution of their cloud and network architecture. This is a senior role focused on designing secure, scalable, and performant connectivity solutions across a range of client platforms, with a particular emphasis on Azure and Cloudflare.

You'll work closely with the cloud leadership team to define architecture patterns, strengthen network security posture, and guide the technical roadmap. The role combines high-level design and hands-on engineering oversight, with plenty of space to influence how things are done.

What you'll be doing

1. Architecting and optimising network infrastructure across Azure environments
2. Designing and supporting Cloudflare implementations - WAF, Zero Trust, CDN, DNS, edge security
3. Advising on best practice for network security, connectivity, resilience, and performance
4. Supporting delivery teams by translating technical requirements into scalable architecture
5. Coaching junior engineers and contributing to long-term roadmap planning across the cloud practice

What we're looking for

• Strong experience with Azure networking - vNets, VPNs, NSGs, routing, peering, private endpoints
• Solid knowledge or hands-on experience with Cloudflare, particularly in a secure enterprise context
• Understanding of network security principles, DNS, CDN design, Zero Trust
• Ability to balance long-term design thinking with day-to-day delivery support
• Enjoys mentoring and working with others to raise the bar across the team
