Job summary

Instil Software Ltd is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native solutions using Java, Python, C#/.NET and TypeScript. You’ll influence architecture, drive API design, and guide production deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams, adopt AI-assisted development practices, and mentor others to elevate engineering standards while embracing modern tooling and automation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production systems using Java, Python, C#/.NET or TypeScript
• Solid experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Good understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures
• Experience building and consuming APIs (REST and event-based systems)
• Comfortable working across the full software delivery lifecycle (build, deploy, operate)
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices
• Experience contributing to technical design and architectural decisions
• Ability to take ownership and drive technical solutions from concept to delivery
• Interest in modern AI-enabled engineering practices and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software solutions using Java, Python, C#/.NET and/or TypeScript
• Develop cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Contribute to system architecture and make key technical decisions
• Build and integrate APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed applications
• Collaborate with platform teams to ensure reliable, scalable deployments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve engineering workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to improve productivity and software quality
• Identify opportunities to automate routine engineering tasks through intelligent tooling and AI
• Troubleshoot issues across application and infrastructure layers
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready software
