Job summary

Ocho People Ltd. in Craigavon is recruiting five Software Engineers (Mid to Senior) to join a brand-new cloud-based client portal on AWS, while maintaining existing product lines for forecasting, order management and temperature control.

You'll design, build and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with product, business and engineering teams. AWS cloud-native work will grow as the platform expands.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing applications in Java with Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience with SQL, and Oracle technologies in particular.
• Good grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and full SDLC delivery.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to production.
• Work with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL for some roles.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve code quality and testing.
• Collaborate with product, business and engineering colleagues.
• Explain technical decisions clearly, and share knowledge with the team.
• Pick up cloud-native and AWS work as the platform grows.
