Job summary

Capgemini is seeking cloud engineers to design, build and maintain secure AWS cloud platforms for UK clients. You will work in a hybrid setup across offices, client sites and home, focusing on automation, standardisation and reusable blueprints.

Qualifications

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

As an integral member of a Cloud Pod, you’ll help design, build and maintain secure, reliable and reusable cloud platforms for our UK clients. You’ll work alongside other Cloud Engineers, platform specialists and delivery teams to support both project delivery and foundational platform improvements, with a strong focus on automation, standardisation and continuous improvement. As part of the team, you’ll be empowered to:Build, maintain and improve cloud platforms using a code-first approach, with a strong focus on technical reuse, standardisation, automation and blueprints rather than manual “ClickOps”.Work collaboratively within agile delivery environments, contributing to sprint-based activities that support customer outcomes and platform maturity.Apply modern cloud engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code, version control, CI/CD, observability, security and operational resilience.Contribute to the ongoing development of Capgemini’s cloud platform patterns, reusable assets and engineering standards.Continue to develop your capability through hands‑on experience, professional training, certifications and knowledge-sharing within the Cloud Engineering community.Collaborate with colleagues across pods, customers and wider delivery teams to solve problems, improve services and deliver sustainable cloud solutions.You can bring your whole self to work. Your skills and experience

Strong hands‑on experience designing, building and maintaining AWS cloud platforms and services.Practical knowledge of core AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, identity and monitoring capabilities.Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, with a strong focus on standardisation, reuse and automation.Good understanding of cloud networking, security principles and operational resilience within AWS environments.Experience with version control and collaborative engineering practices, ideally using GitHub.Exposure to Kubernetes, Ansible and CI/CD pipelines would be advantageous.Comfortable working in agile delivery environments, collaborating closely with platform, DevOps and customer teams.You can bring your whole self to work.
